Lisa S. Serebin

Lisa Serebin has over two decades of experience in the employee benefits world, ranging from U.S. Department of Labor enforcement actions and complex class action litigation, to advising clients on the full range of benefits and compensation matters.

A former partner at several large international law firms, she has presented numerous speeches and publications on cutting-edge ERISA issues, and litigated cases that tested the boundaries of fiduciary liability and breach. Her dual expertise in day-to-day compliance issues as well as adversarial conflict resolution give her a unique perspective in vindicating the rights of participants and beneficiaries.

For the last several years, Lisa has also helped disabled students and their parents secure the special education services they need from their local public school districts in the California Office of Administrative Hearings and federal court. She is also an avid cold water swimmer, and recently was honored as the first woman to swim a 10-mile round-trip from San Francisco to Treasure Island.
